mixing the latest edition of BWLP!

welcome to a very special october 2009 edition of birds who like pomegranate mixed media music magazine. it’s good to be alive- just bust the tracks in this months edition. we mix it up with a HEAVY dose of n’awlans with some international flavor. it’s like the gumbo my auntie didi used to make: with the crab, the okra, the tomato base, onions, spices, home made rolls, chitlins, sweet potato pies, fried chicken, croquettes...no, no no, this is real shit- with my own folks from New Iberia and Lafayette and a last name originally delcambre. you still don’t hear me though...but maybe you do. it’s 2009 and a whole new bumper crop of emcees are cutting their teeth in a world where indie rap is developing alot like punk rock did in the 70’s. i am- can only imagine it to be for them. i mean i had my cookie crews, stetsa, too short, latifah’s, shineheads, scott la rock’s, fab five freddy’s, and sha rock’s. i mean i grew up with that. original b-boy m’damn self. but now?! hmm. and what’s it like to be somebody like jay z right now? with so much hating on success for just trying to come true. well...

It looks like the Peralta mural project over in West Oakland had to be completed by Mark on the dolo. It's sitting pretty on a rainy Saturday, here in the Bay.
More flix to come. It was a nice little destination on my weekend errands drive with my son.

Just cruising to the upcoming gift mix for this month, also soon to come to the podcast site. I'm coming through with a little something for the intro. But with school in...it's a hustle. But if Slick Rick can do WorldComm 8 to 5, heck I should be able to a little some' some' m'damn self! (tee, hee!)
